• Pre-event coaches meeting Wednesday Jan 31st from 7:15 PM at tower 1 roof top of the Seda hotel with food/drinks. Meeting will begin at 8 PM.
• Opening ceremony 7:35 AM Thursday Feb 1st at Fine Arts Theatre
• Post event coaches meeting 12:30 PM Saturday in the hospitality lounge.
• Closing banquet available to athletes and coaches only from 5:15-6:45 PM Saturday at the HS Cafeteria
• Closing Awards ceremony immediately after girls final & banquet at approximately 7:15 PM at Fine Arts Theatre Saturday Feb 3rd

• FAT balcony is the coaches hospitality room- Enter via the main FAT entrance and take the stairs up to the interior balcony overlooking the main field.
• Please BYO water bottle/coffee cup. Paper/plastic cups WILL NOT be provided
• ISM Guest Wifi is- “ISM_Guest” no password required
• Rules changes/proposals must be completed on the form in the hospitality lounge. Forms need to be handed to Mark Pekin by 6pm Friday night in order to be discussed at the coaches meeting on Saturday. Agenda items need to be written on the whiteboard before 9AM Saturday in order to be discussed at the coaches meeting.

• Coaches will be transported on arrival and departure days with their luggage to/from the Seda Hotel.
• On tournament days Thurs/Fri/Sat- please walk to/from campus. It is a 500m walk from Seda Hotel to school.
• Bring your own school ID to help facilitate access to ISM campus each day of IASAS. With your school ID you may access campus via any gate. Without your school ID access is ONLY permitted via gate 3.

ISM is a BYO Container campus for all. Pantree is available for those that don't have containers and each concessionaire does have options that don't require containers. Please bring your own reusable container and cutlery to use each day.

• Bearcat Kantina Lv 1 (near Bearcat Den store)- Our main cafeteria with a range of Asian, Western, Filipino, Vegetarian and Grab and Go food options
• Food stalls- Lv 1 (near the Fine Arts Theatre) Additional food vendor pop-up stalls
• *HS athletes please try your best to avoid the MS lunch break in the main Kantina on Thursday and Friday so as to allow all our younger MS students full access to the Kantina during their scheduled lunch break.

• ​​​​​​Each school year, ISM hosts various IASAS tournaments involving sports, Fine Arts and other events. During these events, we ask our parents and families to host visiting students in their homes for two to four nights. Our visitors come mainly from the other IASAS schools located in Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. Our students directly benefit from the same hospitality when we travel to other schools and participate in similar events held throughout the region. Hosting provides our students with the opportunity to meet families from other schools, cultivate new friendships and it significantly reduces the cost of travel for everyone involved.
• The students typically will spend most of the day (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) on campus participating in the tournament. They should keep you informed of their whereabouts and plans at other times so you are not worried or inconvenienced. Open communication with your guest is important, exchange cell phone #’s to stay in touch! You will receive an information email prior to the event with all details regarding guest(s) name, school of your guest, pick-up/drop-off times and the event schedule. Generally at all IASAS events schools arrive Wed afternoons/evenings and depart on Sunday mornings before 10am.
• IASAS Curfew is 9pm and all students must be at the host's home by this time. Host parents do not have the authority to allow students to leave the house after curfew for any reason and it is not ok to take students out or allow them to get home beyond the curfew time. If students ask, say NO!
• Team dinners are not allowed at IASAS events. Host parents can pick up their guest at the end of each day once tournament play has ended or abide by the arranged transportation offered during the event.
• The IASAS competition which benefits our HS students cannot happen without host families, thank-you, we hope you have a great time with your visitors.
• General Responsibilities: Transportation….Food….place to sleep and a WARM Welcome. Please treat your guests the way you would wish your own children to be treated if they are hosted by another family.

A. Rules Infractions:

IASAS Sanctions:

• 1. The student may no longer participate in that IASAS exchange, convention or tournament. They will not be recognized during the IASAS awards ceremony.
• 2. The student will be sent home at parents' expense if it is feasible to do so.
• 3. Students involved in egregious violations, as determined by the principals of the impacted IASAS schools, will be suspended out-of-school for two days. Students will be administratively excused until those IASAS principals reach consensus on how to move forward.
• 4. Character-related awards such as Spirit of IASAS will be revoked.
• 5. Cheating at events may result in removal of medals and revocation of records after formal review by IASAS Athletics and/or Activities Directors.
• 6. The student will be excluded from IASAS related co-curricular activities for a period of 40 school days following the determination of the infraction. The student will be excluded from any IASAS season/activity that begins within this 40-day period.
• 7. Consequences related to third season infractions will carry over to the following school year.
• 8. For a second offense, the student will be excluded for one calendar year from IASAS events including the same exchange, convention or tournament the following year.
• 9. Consequences will be carried over if the student transfers to another IASAS school.

Other Individual School's Consequences:

• Depending on the severity and specifics of the infraction and the student's past behavior, individual IASAS schools may levy other consequences as per their school policy/handbooks.
• This may include further exclusion from all IASAS events.

• We do not have the ability to provide laundry service on campus and so we cannot wash uniforms or provide towels for showering.
• BYO towel each day.
• Ask host families to help you launder your uniforms in the evenings ready for the next day.

• Use HS Field and or HS gym locker rooms ONLY.. Do not use MS gym hallway locker rooms. These are for MS students only

• In case of injury or illness – whether before, during, or after the matches – please notify the site director and or school nurse. A nurse will be located at each gym/ venue during the tournament. If a nurse is not available please go to the medical clinic, near the MS field.
• An injured athlete should not leave campus for any medical care without first consulting their own coach and the clinic staff. The injured athlete should be accompanied by the attending nurse and security personnel and a representative from their school. ISM school nurses are only permitted to issue non-prescription medication.
• In case of an injury or illness resulting outside of the tournament day, students should call ISM (during the school day) and talk to one of the school administrators. If it is after school hours, they should contact the tournament director immediately with assistance from your host family.
• Please note emergency strapping will be done on request of our clinic staff. For existing injuries that require strapping for each and every game this is the responsibility of the team trainer and your own strapping tape/underwrap should be supplied.
• Concussion protocol- IASAS HIA protocol will be in effect and controlled by each school's Athletic Trainer/ISM Clinic staff. If a school does not have a trainer present, an ISM nurse or AT from another school will step in to support any concussion assessment/injury. At no time will coaches and or parents overrule any decision or protocol made by the Athletic Trainer(s). AT’s and doctors' decisions are final. Any suspected concussion injury will be assessed by the designated AT and standard concussion assessment will be provided. A doctor's clearance will be required before any return to play is considered.

• We do not have a money changing facility on campus. Please remind your students to change some money at the airport in your home country before their departure or at the airport upon arrival.
• There are money changers at Market Market Shopping Mall across from ISM and a BPI Bank ATM machine on campus.

• Welcome IASAS parents to IASAS Rugby & Touch 2024 at ISM. For entry to our campus please bring and show your own school parent ID card. We will not be issuing single use plastic guest event passes. To help facilitate access to ISM campus each day of IASAS, with your school ID you may access campus via any gate. Without your school ID access is ONLY permitted via gate 3.
• Host family donation- if you are yet to do so In lieu of a host family gift please make a nominal donation to the following ISM charity organization Child Hope Philippines.
• We hope you have a great experience and enjoy watching your child compete. We hope the student athletes make new friends and that parents do as well. Our ISM PCA group has a parent drop in space at the Little Theatre on level 1. This room is sponsored by ISM PCA Parent Community Association. Drop in for a visit to rest, rejuvenate and connect with other IASAS parents getting ready for the next match. A big screen will be available for live streams of games and other IASAS events. If you need some quiet time head up to our HS library on level 3 catch up on your email or for some quiet reading in between matches.
• For Opening/Closing ceremonies- Athletes will sit toward the front of the FAT seating areas with their teams. Parents please sit upstairs or toward the back, behind the athletes and coaches.
• ISM is a smoke free campus and this includes E cigarettes/vaping.
• ISM Guest Wifi- look for ISM_Guest no password required.
• Sustainability Guidelines at ISM for IASAS visitors (ISM is a Green Flag Eco School)
• ISM is a BYO Container campus, this includes parents as well. Pantree is available for those that don't have containers and each concessionaire does have options that don't require containers. Please refrain from bringing/using single-use plastic items (such as plastic bottles, straws, utensils)
• Please dispose and segregate trash into their appropriate bins around school
• Please bring a reusable water bottle/hot drinks cup and use our refilling stations located (Outside Restrooms, Kantina, Fields)

• Show individual and team support by making only positive comments.
• Refrain from using negative or abusive language, gestures and/or behavior.
• Be courteous to opposing teams. Without them there would be no games.
• Show respect for the judgment and integrity of coaches and officials.
• Be gracious in victory, accept defeat with dignity, and show compassion for all participants.
• Keep bleachers clean by using trash bins.

Noise Makers - Air horns/whistles are NOT allowed at any venue. Bells/cymbals or implements that omit a high pitched/annoying sound to the ear will also NOT be allowed. *Site directors have the right to ask parents not to use implements if it is deemed inappropriate or may cause significant annoyance to others at our venues.

• The Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools is a prestigious and exemplary organization.What makes our tournaments and conventions special is the quality of character of the students, coaches, organizers and spectators involved in these events.
• The Spirit of IASAS Award is presented to a member of the IASAS Community (individual or team) who exhibits exemplary behavior that builds community and sets the standard for which all IASAS Schools strive to see from our students.
• Examples can include an individual or group who has exhibited an act, or acts, of outstanding spirit, courage, character, sportsmanship, a selfless act, or service to others which go well beyond what is expected in their formal role or job, and which significantly benefit the larger community of which they are a part. This award is a certificate presented to the winners as well as having their names included on the Spirit of IASAS plaque that is kept at each of the member schools.
• Use the LINK to complete your ballot. Ballots must be submitted on or before 1pm Saturday Feb 3rd.

• Team photos will be taken before each of the morning matches on day 1 just prior to the start of play. The photos will be taken under rugby posts at the school end of the main field. Photos will be uploaded to the tournament app/website IASAS Rugby & Touch Photos by Thursday evening.

• ISM Merchandise is available from the Bearcat Den store by the cafeteria on Level 1. The Bearcat Den will be open Wed afternoon, Thurs/Fri 7AM-4PM and Saturday until 12 noon.

• The MS field is the warm up area for Touch and the ES grass field is the venue for Rugby. Both fields will be divided in half for teams about to play in the next scheduled matches. Next scheduled teams take priority over others. Ensure you leave enough time to be at the main field 10 min before your scheduled match start time. Do not remove warm up balls from the warm up fields.

• According to IASAS green guidelines plastic cups will not be provided. All athletes/coaches must bring their own water bottle for general use. Filtered water coolers are available at all venues. In addition please bring your own reusable coffee mug for purchases at the Bearcat cafe. *If you forget your water bottle you can purchase one at the Bearcat Den.
